About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Sri Lanka Journal of Aquatic Sciences publishes articles in the field of aquatic sciences including limnology, aquatic biology and fisheries. Acceptable topics include aquatic ecology, biology of aquatic organisms, fish population dynamics, aquatic resources management, fishing gear technology, post-harvest technology, socioeconomics, farming systems and captive breeding of aquatic organisms. Articles may be research papers, technical notes, short communications or review papers.
All articles published in the journal are deposited with Crossref.
Publication Frequency
From Volume 1 to 19, Sri Lanka Journal of Aquatic Sciences was published one volume (1 issue) per year.
From 2015 (Volume 20 onwards), there will be two issues per volume.
Publication Frequency will be twice a year with two issues per volume, i.e., March (Issue 1) and September (Issue 2).
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving Policy
This journal is available for LOCKSS harvesting, to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. See LOCKSS harvesting start page.
